CO2 Reduction

TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT

We want to protect our climate and are therefore very aware of our CO2 emissions. It is important to us to keep the emissions as low as possible. Therefore, we are also working on shaping our company in a more climate-friendly way. In the last few years we have already implemeted a few projects to reduce our carbon footprint. By switching to green electricity we have been able to save a few tons of emissions.

Oekostrom

We rely on green electricity from hydropower. As a result of the conversion, approximately 300 t of CO2 emissions can be saved every year.

Plug-In

We have switched our vehicle fleet to plug-in hybrid vehicles, a more environmentally friendly alternative to diesel. By switching the vehicle fleet towards a sustainable future, 8 chargers were set up in front of Daiber’s main building. These are operated with green electricity from 100 per cent hydropower from the alpine countries. With the job bike we offer our employees an alternative to get to work.

Recycling Paper

We improve our ecological footprint with every sheet of recycled paper. For producing the inner part of our main catalogue only 100% waste paper was used. Further information on the potential savings and the climate protection projects that we support can be found here: ClimatePartner

Klimaneutraler Versand

By taking part in the programme GLS Klimaprotect we have been processing our parcel shipping since 2019 via General Logistics Systems Germany GmbH & Co. OHG in a climate-neutral way. The CO2 emissions caused by shipping parcels are offset by investment in external projects.

Recycling

It is important to us to process the raw materials that have already been used in a meaningful way instead of always entering new ones into the production cycle. Thus the strain on the environment can be reduced. For more than 15 years, the sorted disposal of plastic film and cardboard packaging for our headquarters in Albstadt has been part of our daily business. The collected film bales are melted into regranulate, the raw material sport shirts or garden furniture are made from.

Server

By introducing a HCI-environment, separate components could be combined into one central system. Thus costs for a new hardwear can be saved and this allows for more flexibility. In addition, the overall electricity consumption has been  considerably reduced.

Digitalization

Thanks to new systems, we have been able to digitize our order confirmations and orders. Thus handling processes have been digitized and automized throughout and run smoothly in the new system.
