1912-1974
It all started with a hat factory. A son of the then owner’s inherited the hat factory that does not exist any more. The grandfather of the present manager, Rolf Daiber, dealt in everything that was part of textile industry. The company had only 4-5 employees working in the office, the rest was sales representatives.
1975-1994
When Rolf Daiber joined the company in 1975, a new era began. He started importing rubber laces from Taiwan. Inevitably, embroidery machines followed. And the next step was the logical conclusion of the course taken: the combination of embroidery and printing. Whereas at the beginning Daiber specialized in direct printing, which is now only used marginally, they more and more specialized in transfer printing and the factory was restructured into a modern production plant for embroidery and printing.
1995-2000
Fashionable, trendy caps were added to the range of products. Thus, Daiber virtually continues the tradition of the former hat factory. With this previously small range of fashionable Baseball Caps the nowadays most important Cap-Business started. To provide customers with the promotional textile made by only one company, Daiber later became wholesaler of T-Shirts, Sweats, Towels and other textiles. In the year 2000 the already wide Cap-range was enlarged by the own new brand Myrtle Beach. The popular beach in the United States was chosen as brandname of these fashionable Caps in a typically American style. Both Cap-Basics and other head gear and accessories, which may not be missed at the Myrtle Beach, became part of the new collection.
2001-2009
With the introduction of their own textile brand James & Nicholson, Daiber successfully added high-quality advertising and functional garments by their range. They have become more and more independent from the former textile trademarks and now create their own fashionable textile collection along the customer needs.
As a producer of all kind of promotional textiles Daiber still missed their own Terry Collection. That was created in 2004, when they introduced the new Spa Collection, a sub brand of Myrtle Beach. The towels and bathrobes have already become very popular with the customers.
James & Nicholson is getting more and more popular in the european promotion market. In the year 2009 the collection comprises Basics, Business Shirts, Jackets and Trekking Garments as well as professional Sport Collections for Team-and Bikewear. In the meantime James & Nicholson offers almost 250 different items.
2010
Together, the Myrtle Beach and James & Nicholson collections contain nearly 600 different products. Herewith Daiber is able to offer one of the biggest assortments for textile promotion wear in Europe. A new High Performance category in James & Nicholson provides Sportswear for highest claims.
Transfer and Embroidery is becoming more and more important and is developing continiously. New techniques enable unique presentations of logos on the Daiber garments.
